What Happens During GLADE Week?
Sixteen highly motivated 9th through 11th grade students from across rural communities are immersed in learning and leadership development. Guided by qualified staff, they:
- Work side-by-site with a wide range of environmental professionals
- Participate in collaborative and group problem-solving exercises
- Spend a day in hands-on habitat restoration
Supporting Tomorrow's Conservation Leaders
GLADE is our chapter's flagship educational program developed in 2008 by Greater Ozarks Audubon. Participants are selected for their desire to connect to nature and a passion to make a difference in the world. This week-long residential camp is the first time that many hold a quivering bird in their hands, or feel the satisfaction of a hard (and hot) job well done restoring native habitat.
